It is early September, 2001. New York’s World Trade Center is no more. In Orlando, Florida, Victor Perantoni, now 89 years of age, sees that event as but a continuation of what began in 1914 – the First World War. But why?
In his teens during the 1930’s, of Italian descent and living in Lwow, Poland, he and his brother work with their father, Carlo, at operating the family’s successful winery-pasta tavern, and managing their import-export business of distributing wine from Italy.
But Hitler’s 1939 invasion of Poland changes all of that. When the Italian Consulate orders Italian nationals to leave Poland, the Perantonis are suddenly forced to leave their considerable wealth behind. Victor’s girlfriends will also be left behind as he flees to Switzerland to avoid the Italian fascist draft. Left too are his friends Andrẻ, Franki, and “Padre.” All of these persons will be scattered as they face the fears, hardships, and physical abuses of the war.
The war drags on as Europe burns, Andrẻ and Franki are commandeered into the Russian Army; as a prisoner who must be rescued, his girlfriend Dani faces deportation to a Nazi death camp; and more than once, Victor too is nearly captured and imprisoned. All are wondering will life ever be the same again?
Arriverderci Leopolis—The Lion’s War will show you the early 20th Century through the eyes of the Perantoni family. You will see it as you have never seen it before, its terrors and tragedies. You will see the town of Volargne, Italy, literally disappear in one instant! You will know why Victor saw World War I as the preamble to the destruction of New York’s World Trade Center. It’s food for the inquiring mind. Buon Appetito!

Arrivederci Leopolis. The Lion's War. eBook George Perantoni, Sam Ivey, Victor Perantoni Reviews

I would rather that others write a review since I was the principal writer of "Arriverderci." It was, however, a story about about Mr. Perantoni's family, and I insisted his name come first as to authorship.
Adolf Hitler was a monstrous cold-blooded killer. Hitler will always be known as one of the most HATED men to ever walk this Earth.

Why did Hitler do the evil things he did?
What reason (or right) did Hitler have to murder so many innocent people of God?

This story of Carlo and Victor Perantoni provides (from an insiders perspective) a deeper understanding into this sick and demented world that Adolf Hilter created for the entire human population when darkness consumed his soul, a soul that shall forever be remembered as one of the most horrific of all mankind.

The story reveals so many unknown mysteries!

The Lion's War will keep you hooked... while revealing many hidden conspiracies and TRUTHS of Hitler and of the history of the World Wars.
And revelations of the future of mankind.

FYI this story is in absolutely NO WAY anti-sematic!!!

If anything is to be said about this book It should be that this book (and up-coming cinematic film), The Lion's War, NEEDS to be read to know the truth.

Once Victor Perantoni learned of Hitler's horrifying intentions he did everything he could to escape from Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime, including trying to bring down some of the Nazi's himself!

Which upon further reading into The Lion's War, those (and many more) truths will be revealed!
It is amazing how they were able to relate what they were seeing and going through during those times to the events the Bible mentioned in it's writings. They were able to see prophecy being fulfilled during the World War. If you want to understand their thoughts you should look into what the Bible is really teaching.
This is an incredible read and a must read for anyone who wants a true look at a terrible war as told by a family who lived through it. This is well told and especially well written in a unique style. The photos verifying the information are fascinating. Do give this a read. As in many books it gets better and better as it goes deeper into the history of the family and the effects of war upon them.
Can you handle the truth about war? Then do read this book!
I read the first pages and was captivated by sheer terror and suspense I was feeling. I felt like I was in the Twin Towers and there was no hope! That is good writing, making one feel like they are part of the story.

But this is not about the 9-11 experience, although the writers do a wonderful job connecting it to all the violence this world has seen since 1914. This story takes you into pre WWII, and tells you of a true life experience of a family that was there and saw and heard of the atrocities heaped on the citizens by such brutal leaders as Mussolini and Hitler. This is a story of courage, cleverness, and perception.

To make the story even more real, they include photos, postage stamps created during the era, and so many other interesting visual aids that makes you feel like you are listening to your grandfather recite his own memories and he has dragged out all his albums of his life in the "old country". This is a very personal look into this family who lived through a horrible time in history and came to some logical conclusions about where this system of things is heading.

I highly recommend this book for anyone that has the least little bit of interest in his fellow man. Great read!
