The author really knows how to expose all different emotions with his characters as well of transforming you right into every situation and makes you feel like you are right there. I loved Elgin and my gosh, the poor guy couldn't catch a break. His name should have been "Murphy"...I even felt emotionally attached to Booker. What a crazy, desolate world these survivors lived in. I happen to live in California so I walked the route with these poor people! I knew where they were and could visualize it all, thanks to really awesome writing. My only disappointment was Barstow. I was under the impression this was a trilogy so I expected Elgin in the third book..my mistake.Product details

The man would find somebody to be with and then they would all die . The name of this book is quite prophetic .
Would love to see another second book to go with this one. Great work
